I think I'll upgrade when a 9 megapixel camera becomes available at under 1000 dollars. Of course it would be nicer to have more pixels but I doubt I'd ever notice the difference unless I wanted to make larger prints. But it really didn't appeal to me since the price would be substantially higher and it seems the two cameras are pretty much identical in terms of features, performance, handling and picture quality.
